Licensing - System Information Extraction
The license key email sent to you includes your Customer Number twice. (If you were not the recipient of the license key email, refer to the subsequent sections of this document or ask the person who did receive this, sometimes called the Ansys Support Coordinator).

Bundle License

For a bundle license premium module of one physics will be bundled with the premium module of other physics (Premium module of one physics cannot be bundled with enterprise module of other physics). Same goes for enterprise bundle.
For a bundle license only a single user can use the software at a time. Though all the physics available in the license can be used simultaneously but this is not to be conveyed to the customer as suggested by ANSYS.
Pre Post License
If a client is adding one extra seat for a particular physics then a Pre-Post License can be pitched for that physics separately. This license will not include the solver.
HPC License
Helps to utilise more than 4 cores (default) that reduces solution time.

New Installation Process
1.Check mail for new entitlements of the customer. If no mail found then ask the Sales Manager for the same or contact Sonu Singh (ARK).
2.Check if the customer mail ID is registered on Ansys Licensing Portal (use the same mail ID registered with Ansys for license procurement).
3.Login to Ansys Customer Portal using customer’s registered mail ID.
4.Download the software package as per the license.
5.First Install Ansys License Manager (Run as Administrator)
6.Click on get system HostID Information.
7. Note the hostname or click on the SAVE TO FILE button in the MAC address row.
8. Now in Ansys Licensing Portal in Activate Entitlements add a server by uploading the file obtained after step.
9. Once the server is created click on Save & Generate to create the license file.
10. Now open Ansys License Manager again and click on Add a license file.
11. Browse the file obtained after step 9 and install the license file. The license Mangager will start.
12. Now Install the Ansys Products. The hostname will be automatically picked, if not then enter the same Hostname mentioned in step 6.
License Renewal Process
1.Check mail for new entitlements with updated expiry and install the same in Ansys license manager.
2.If there is no mail then download it from the Ansys Licensing Portal and follow the steps as mentioned for new entitlements (you don’t need to create new server). Just click on save & generate.
3.Go to Ansys Customer Portal using Customer’s registered mail ID and download the updated version of the Ansys Tools.
4.Proceed with the installation (No need to put Hostname for updation).
