Overview Software Upgrades
Ansys software products are under continual development. In addition to developing new features and enhancements for major revisions of the Ansys product, we focus considerable effort on the interoperability among the core Ansys applications including Ansys Mechanical, Ansys Fluent, and Ansys Electronics Desktop. Current software versions are available to customers with a current TECS agreement.
Periodically, maintenance updates to Ansys software are made available to correct errors that have been discovered in previous commercial releases. Ansys and Ansys Workbench service packs are normally used to address these errors or improve functional features in a given Ansys software product release.
These service packs are made available on a timely basis, once errors have been reported and a viable solution has been developed and tested.
Licensing
Flexible Licensing Solutions to Meet Customer Needs
Ansys offers licensing solutions that meet our customers’ varying needs. We offer concurrent licensing on an annual or perpetual basis for customers that will use Ansys software frequently and consistently. We also offer Ansys Elastic Licensing for pay-per-use access across the Ansys portfolio, both on-premises and in the cloud. Ansys Elastic Licensing is a flexible, pay-per-use licensing model that enables usage-based licensing for software, computing power and Ansys Cloud hardware. It complements and augments the value of other licensing solutions, removing access barriers like number of users, product access and HPC capacity.
